| The company Casais supports the rehabilitation of classified real estate and creates a new business area on conservation, restoration and rehabilitation, namely the emblematic Caixa Geral de Depósitos' building (Oporto), Cerqueira Gomes House - Quinta do Paraíso (Arcos de Valdevez), the Archiepiscopal Palace of Braga, the Marinha Grande's Warehouse building and the Gil Vicente Theatre (Barcelos). On the other hand, the Group reinforces its position and reaffirms the investment in works in the Centre and South of the country with the opening of a delegation in Lisbon.

| The company Casais concludes the renovation and remodel of the Football Stadium D. Afonso Henriques, in Guimarães, without any deadline or budget slippage. For the European Football Championship, the Municipal Stadium of Braga is a referential architectural work, by receiving the Secil 2004 award. The year of 2004 also proves the experience of the company "Empreiteiros Casais, S.A." in the construction of cultural and entertainment infrastructures, through the conclusion of referential projects such as Vila Real's and Bragança's Theatres and the execution of the House Museum of Camilo Castelo Branco (Vila Nova de Famalicão) and the Cultural Centre of Vila Flor (Guimarães).

| With a strong presence in Minho, the company "Empreiteiros Casais, S.A." is already the largest company of civil construction of the region and the fifth largest company in the North of Portugal. The sport and leisure complex in Melgaço - which includes: Hotel Monte Prado (a new four star hotel unit in the region); the House of Arts; the Vocational Training Centre of ANJE, in Arcos de Valdevez; the remodelling of the Inn of São Teotónio, in Valença; the Public Library of Monção; Monte d'Ola's Sportive Pavilion, in Viana do Castelo and the Health Care Centre, in Caminha, are only a few of the works accomplished by the company, some of them still being carried out.

| Establishment of an agreement for the creation of LamelTec, through a Joint Venture with a Swiss company, specialized in glulam structures (not yet manufactured in Portugal). The company "Empreiteiros Casais, SA" already possesses a vast experience in this type of structures/works, applied on several works, namely on the swimming-pools, in Guimarães; the multi-purposes pavilion, in Fundão; the swimming-pools, in Mangualde, and on the football stadium of Lousada. The latter was built with the technology and material of the company, constituted by the Joint Venture.

The goal was to gather the essential and proper means, in order to fulfil great projects (civil construction works for Euro 2004), namely the construction of the stadium D. Afonso Henriques (Guimarães) and the New Stadium in Braga (in consortium).
The ACE is worth than 60 million thousand escudos in what regard the turnover.
