Railway station of Aveiro
The new railway station of Aveiro - inserted in the Modernisation Project of the North Line - Line station 3.2 (Quintans/Ovar) - was conceived as a crossing of four streets - two for each side of the road - each of them with an outer space for promenade that invites to use and visit the infrastructure. The project kept the traditional idea that the Largo da Estação (square) remains in the city. The building is composed by support and access premises for passengers (waiting room, information area and cafeteria) and for the agents (ticket office, operator areas, support and sanitary installations), including a telecommunications building in the Western/North side of the station. It also provides 13 commercial spaces. The station was built in five phases being the company Casais the responsible for the execution works of the finishings.
